Chapter 1450: Meeting Wang Xuanjin Again

Dong! The ancient and melodious chimes of the bell shook the heavens and the earth, setting off a wave of ripples through the void. A gigantic golden platform, a hundred thousand feet wide, appeared in the sky. At the top of it were three thrones with a person seated on each one. All three radiated a terrifying pressure. Boundless amounts of energy surged up like a tide as they breathed, rushing through the world at their beckoning.

"Kings!" 

Despite the incomparable sense of suppression coming from them, Li Luo remained completely calm. After all, Kings didn't possess any sort of unattainable or unreachable mystery or majesty in his eyes. 

"That is..."

At this point, he realized that the individual sitting in the middle of the three was someone familiar.

This middle-aged man had a refined and cultured appearance. In his hand was a bronze ruler, and a golden gourd hung from his waist. His gaze was electrifying; just a casual look caused one to shake.

 "That's the Heavenly Origin Ancient College's principal, Wang Xuanjin!" Vice Principal Guo Jiufeng said in a low voice.

So it turned out that Wang Xuanjin was the person who had spoken to them in the Fifth Minor Earthly Branch Realm. He had never actually seen him in person.

This was a true Triple Crowned King! On his left was a golden-robed man who wielded a golden jade seal. His expression was serene and authoritative, much like an actual emperor. 

To his right was something that surprised Li Luo. After all, it was not a human, but rather a lazily coiled white python. Its scales were like white jade and there seemed to be some ancient runes etched into each and every one. However, the energy undulations that it emitted made it clear it was a King Stage existence as well.

Its green vertical pupils were filled with wisdom and warm colors. Although it had the form of a python, its gaze gave one the sense of a demure and quiet lady.  

The three individuals who had appeared in the sky drew the respectful gazes of everyone within the Celestial Mirror Pagoda. This was met with a respectful greeting.

"Everyone, I am Heavenly Origin Ancient College's principal, Wang Xuanjin." Wang Xuanjin revealed a warm expression as his gaze swept through the crowd, capable of seeing through everyone with his deep eyes.

He then pointed towards the golden jade seal-wielding man and smiled. "This is an elder of the Academic Federation, Elder Jin Xi." 

The man nodded. 

"This is Elder Bai Yu." 

Wang Xuanjin then gestured at the giant white jade python, which then opened its mouth. But instead of hearing the hisses of a snake, a human's warm voice came out. "We'll be the ones hosting and organizing the trials of this opening of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda. I hope everyone can demonstrate their abilities to the fullest and continue to strengthen our federation."

At this point, everyone hurriedly showed their agreement.

"With three Kings hosting, one being a Triple Crowned King, it shows that the Academic Federation has clearly put in a lot of effort into this."

Li Luo sighed in his heart. This line-up was almost equivalent to the entire top-tier power of the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li. As expected of the Academic Federation, a power unmatched in the ten divine continents.

"Everyone, I'm sure you know of the rules of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's trials. The Domain Traversal Battles have been split into three regions. As per the rules, everyone will draw lots to pick their opponents." Wang Xuanjin waved his sleeves, and three motes of light fell from the skies, each one falling onto the four ancient colleges, the inner divine continent sage colleges, and the outer divine continent sage colleges respectively.

The lights transformed into three gigantic bamboo tubes, and sticks of light serving as lots to be drawn were flashing inside them. Li Luo looked at the bamboo tube that had landed before the outer divine continent sage colleges and then saw people slowly ascending into the skies on the huge, greenwood platform not far away. 

Those were the chosen representatives of the other five outer divine continents’ sage colleges. 

Li Luo's heart trembled as he cast his gaze into the sky not far away. There was a white-robed man walking through the air. He had a pair of silver eyes, and violent thunder seemed to course through them, giving an intimidating appearance. Li Luo could sense the mighty undulations of energy emanating from his body that surpassed even Guo Jiufeng and Wang Xu, sixth-grade Dukes.

His gaze flickered briefly. During the past few days, he had become quite intimate with information about the experts from the other sage colleges from the outer divine continents. Thus, he immediately identified this individual.

Thunderflame Divine Continent, Thunder Tribulation Sage College, Fang Xingyun, a lower seventh-grade Duke.

He was the only vice principal from the outer divine continent sage colleges who had reached the Seventh Duke Stage. Thus, he was the strongest vice principal amongst them. If Li Luo coveted the largest piece of the pie of the outer divine continent, Fang Xingyun would be the tiger blocking his path.

His gaze then turned towards a diminutive but well-endowed lady in green. Vice Principal Shui Baoping of the Azuresea Divine Continent’s Holy Kun Sage College, an upper sixth-grade Duke. Three of her Duke Bergfrieds were nine-pillar and she had an outstanding foundation. 

Then it was Vice Principal Tang Chong from the Endless Gale Divine Continent's Divine Wind Sage College. He was an upper sixth-grade with two nine-pillar Duke Bergfrieds, comparable to Guo Jiufeng. 

The remaining two vice principals were from the Whitespirit Divine Continent and the Extreme Night Divine Continent. In terms of strength, they were weaker than Guo Jiufeng and were on the same level as Wang Xu, so they were of no concern to him. Based on Li Luo's understanding, the strongest sage colleges of the six outer divine continents were the ones from the Thunderflame Divine Continent. Their five main seat holders included not only Fang Xingyun, a lower seventh-grade Duke, but also two upper and two lower sixth-grades Dukes.

The Azuresea Divine Continent was slightly weaker, only lacking a lower seventh-grade Duke with Shui Baoping as their strongest combatant. She was similarly supported by two experienced upper sixth-grade Dukes.

The Endless Gale Divine Continent had Tang Chong as their leader, with two upper and three lower sixth-grade Dukes as their main seat holders.

Meanwhile, for the East Divine Continent, they had Guo Jiufeng and Wang Xu, two upper sixth-grade Dukes. The remainder were two more lower sixth-grade Dukes as well as him, the unmatched second-grade Transcendent.

In terms of strength, they weren't too far away.

"Vice Principal Guo Jiufeng, we'll leave the drawing of lots to you," the Heavenly Inferno Sage College's Vice Principal Chen Chi said with a smile.

"Don't blame me if we get unlucky," Guo Jiufeng helplessly replied. 

"So long as we don't match up against the Thunderflame Divine Continent or the Azuresea Divine Continent in the first round, that would be a good lot," the Sacredspring Sage College's Wang Xu said. 

The rest of the vice principals nodded in agreement.

If they could avoid fighting against the top two, their chances of entering the next round would greatly increase.

Guo Jiufeng helplessly shook his head and didn't say anything else. He then ascended into the air and approached the massive bamboo tube. After which, each of the representatives sent their resonant power into the tube to obtain a lot.

A moment later, before the nervous looks of every squad, six motes of light flew out, intertwining in the air and turning into three abnormally bright rays of light.

The two ends of the three rays of light each shot towards a different divine continent.

The East Divine Continent's squad looked at the ray of light that connected them with their opponent. The gazes of the crowd immediately turned solemn.

After all, their opponent was none other than...

The Azuresea Divine Continent!
