Infinite Evolution of My Territory

Chapter 43

Chapter 43

C43 – Spirit Strawberry

After collecting their hard-won spoils of war, they didn’t make it back to their territory until late.

Along the way, they ran into numerous nocturnal creatures. But with Huamo and her companions present, they managed to avoid any serious trouble.

Still, the night held its dangers, with some creatures moving at alarming speeds under the cover of darkness. Thankfully, Bi Yu’s abilities proved to be an effective counter, making them much easier to handle.

At last, they safely arrived back in their territory.

Exhausted from the day’s endeavors, they all needed a good night’s rest.

Qiang Nantie first led the Dwarf Clan to the Divine Arsenal. The sight of such a sophisticated forging environment made their eyes sparkle with excitement.

“Has this place really become our forge?”

“It’s so beautiful here. Those Defense Towers look incredibly formidable.”

“That’s the Elements Tower. It seems so powerful. My goodness, the quality of these Defense Towers is truly exceptional.”

“Take a look, the buildings here are all at least Level S quality or higher. It’s simply astounding.”

“This place is breathtaking; not a single building is just average.”

“Our forge is Grade SS quality. We’re so fortunate. From now on, this will be our home!”

Qiang Nantie had merely intended to give them a brief tour, but the Dwarf Clan was over the moon.

Born with a love for forging, the sight of such a high-quality forge was enough to make them stay; even if Qiang Nantie asked them to leave, they wouldn’t dream of it.

As expected, their loyalty soared, with the highest reaching 98 points. With just a little more effort, Qiang Nantie was confident the Dwarf Clan would never betray him.

“Respected Lord, may we begin forging now?”

Peritas asked, his eyes alight with anticipation.

“Do you wish to start forging right this moment?” Qiang Nantie couldn’t help but admire the Dwarf Clan’s eagerness, surpassing even his own.

“Aren’t you tired? I’d prefer you begin forging once you’ve fully recovered, especially since you’re still nursing injuries.”

Qiang Nantie was genuinely concerned for their well-being, not the type of leader to exploit his people.

He was a Lord who truly cared for his subordinates.

“Lord, the sight of such an impressive forge has us all fired up. If we don’t start forging now, I fear we won’t be able to sleep a wink tonight.”

“Don’t fret over our wounds. Nothing aids our recovery quite like forging,” Peritas quickly assured.

Qiang Nantie was at a loss for words. Confronted with the Dwarf Clan’s imploring gaze, he had no choice but to acquiesce to their request.

“Alright, but try not to work too late. This place is yours, after all,” Qiang Nantie advised.

“Thank you, Lord!” the Dwarves exclaimed with joy.

Qiang Nantie cleared out all the ores from the Treasure Room and supplied plenty of wood, necessary for stoking the fires to forge equipment.

Once the wood and ores were ready, the Dwarves set to work on the equipment with fervent zeal.

They seemed to completely overlook Qiang Nantie, their Lord, treating him as if he were invisible.

“A bunch of forging fanatics,” he mused with a smile before taking his leave, hoping the Dwarves wouldn’t overexert themselves by working too late into the night.

“Lord, Huamo has already headed to the spiritual field. Shall we join her?” Bi Yu asked eagerly upon seeing Qiang Nantie.

“The fruits and vegetables there might be ripe by now.”

Arriving at the spiritual field, Qiang Nantie and Bi Yu discovered Huamo, Le Cili, and others already gathered, while only Ruan Shijia had returned to the barracks.

?Before them lay a spiritual field bursting with an array of fruits and vegetables, unbelievably all planted just the previous morning.

Entering the field, they were greeted by an enticing aroma, the scent of various fruits and vegetables invigorating their senses.

“Lord!”

The group greeted Qiang Nantie warmly.

He responded with a nod, casually picking and biting into a cucumber.

“Not bad at all,” he remarked. After finishing the cucumber, he felt his weariness diminish significantly, his body surging with renewed energy. The produce of the spiritual field was truly remarkable.

?”This is delicious!” Bi Yu exclaimed, sampling a fruit herself.

“Qiang Nantie, you must try this; it’s exceptionally tasty,” Huamo suggested, offering him some strawberries.

?After tasting them, Qiang Nantie agreed—the strawberries were exceptionally delicious, far surpassing the flavor of ordinary ones.

He never could have imagined enjoying such delectable treats before, but now, he found himself indulging in them regularly.

As such, he knew he had to safeguard this territory.

He was duty-bound to protect the inhabitants of his land.

“I feel like I’m bursting with energy!”

After savoring some strawberries, Qiang Nantie checked his attributes and was astonished to see his Attribute Points had increased slightly.

Both his strength and physique had improved by 0.1—a testament to the remarkable potency of these fruits.

Naturally, it was unrealistic to expect such rapid increases in Attribute Points to continue indefinitely. The current boost was solely because it was his first time consuming this type of fruit.

Should he consume an excess of these fruits, the rate of increase for his Attribute Points would inevitably diminish.

“It’s no surprise these fruits aren’t available in the Whispering Land; they’re simply out of reach for the average person.”

These fruits, grown from common seeds, yielded extraordinary benefits.

What would the value be if Qiang Nantie planted genuine Spiritual medicine? And how potent would their effects be?

It was beyond his imagination.

Currently devoid of any Spiritual medicine seeds, he was unable to experiment even if he wished to.

A person came to mind, prompting Qiang Nantie to pull up his friend list.

He noticed that Tung Quanpan had sent him a barrage of messages that day.

After perusing the messages, he responded, “I’ve been tied up and just now got to your messages. Are you free?”

Shortly thereafter, Tung Quanpan replied, “You’ve been swamped. It’s already nightfall—are you seriously considering hunting monsters at this hour?”

Qiang Nantie chose not to reply. Instead, he opened the trade panel and placed a strawberry up for offer.

Tung Quanpan, intrigued, examined the item.

Item: Spirit Strawberry

Quality: E

Description: A strawberry brimming with spiritual energy. Consuming it promises an unexpected boon.

Tung Quanpan was taken aback and quickly inquired, “Where did you find this strawberry?”

Had they been in the Whispering Land, her astonishment would have been less; such treasures, though rare, occasionally graced her palate.

“What’s the value of this?” Qiang Nantie inquired.

“What? You’re actually thinking of selling it?” Tung Quanpan was at a loss for words. Qiang Nantie hardly seemed in need of money.

However, Tung Quanpan continued, “Each type of Spirit Fruit is priced differently. In the real world, strawberries lacking spiritual energy go for less than 100 yuan per kilogram.”

“But strawberries infused with spiritual energy are certainly not sold by the kilogram; they’re sold individually. An E-grade Spirit Strawberry costs about 300 spirit coins each in the Whispering Land.”

“But you must sell it to me, you can’t sell it to anyone else!” Tung Quanpan insisted with great excitement.

Even though the price wasn’t steep, Tung Quanpan had no idea where to find Spirit Strawberries.

They were either acquired by the state or controlled by major corporations, making them inaccessible to the average person, regardless of their wealth.
