Chapter 343: Bet

The moment the five foreign trainers approached Julian, they had already attracted the attention of many in the library. After all, their expressions made it seem like Julian owed them money.

But no one expected that they would actually dare to make a move—only to be completely overpowered by Julian in return.

Seeing Julian crush the man's hand with his bare grip, the onlookers were stunned. That kind of strength—it was monstrous, as if he had been possessed by a Machamp.

Was this even humanly possible?

The royal had already passed out from the excruciating pain, his mangled hand drenched in blood. Bone fragments coming out from the torn flesh.

Julian flicked the blood off his hand—some of it even landed on the faces of the two foreign women. But this time, they didn't show a shred of anger.

Instead, their faces turned ghastly pale, their bodies trembling slightly.

Julian then shifted his gaze to the two remaining male trainers.

"Do you two want a go as well?"

The two men froze, then frantically shook their heads, so fast that they nearly blurred.

"Then I'll be waiting for your next attempt."

With that, Julian picked up his bag and walked out of the library.

The moment he left, the remaining four trainers hurriedly carried the unconscious royal to the hospital. Thanks to modern medicine and the aid of Pokémon healing moves, his hand wouldn't be permanently crippled—but the humiliation was another story.

By nightfall, the entire incident had exploded across Imperial University's forums, plenty of students had recorded videos of what happened in the library.

Imperial University was home to many foreign exchange students, most of whom were part of the Trainer Academy.

Julian had just beaten up a Gallian exchange student—and not just any student, but a royal family member. His uncle's uncle was the current King of Gallia.

To Gallia's exchange students and their allies, this was nothing short of a national humiliation.

So, the next morning, a crowd of Gallian trainers gathered at the entrance of Villa No.1, where Julian lived. Some were from Gallia, while others were from nations allied with them—all had come seeking justice.

However, before Julian even had to step outside, the school team had already moved to intercept them, led by Max, the team captain, they blocked the foreign trainers from advancing any further.

"Move aside, Max! This has nothing to do with you!"

Cole, one of the Gallian trainers, glared at Max coldly, Although he wasn't part of the royal family, but the one Julian had crushed was his close friend.

"Max-kun, I expected better from you. This is… disappointing."

The one who spoke was a girl from Babath, a beauty with a doll-like voice and a delicate figure, her heartbroken expression was enough to make most men waver.

"Tch! Shameless woman! Who are you trying to seduce here? If you want to spread your so-called 'national culture,' go back to your own country!"

Faye spat in disgust, her sweet face completely at odds with her merciless words.

Her remark made the onlooking students burst into quiet chuckles.

"Y-You—!"

The girl was instantly infuriated.

Only three members of the school team came this time—most of the others weren't on campus. If Julian's cousin had been here, she would've slapped this woman long ago.

"Max, if Julian doesn't apologize to Richard and return the Honedge, then this will no longer just be a student dispute—it will a matter of diplomacy between Drakoria and Gallia."

Richard was, of course, the Gallian royal whose hand Julian had crushed.

Max's expression remained unfazed.

"Cole, you and I are not politicians. Even if this does turn into a diplomatic issue, it's beyond our control. Besides, we will neither apologize nor return the Honedge."

Drakoria was a superpower, forget Gallia—even if all of it's allies combined, they still wouldn't be able to challenge Drakoria.

"Slow~"

At this moment, a Slowking waddled back, carrying groceries in its arms, it blinked its dull, curious eyes, looking at the crowd gathered at the villa's entrance.

"Slowking! Where's Julian?"

Faye hurriedly asked.

With so many people at his door, why hadn't Julian come out yet? Could he not be at home?

Slowking: "He's sleeping"

It wasn't even eight in the morning yet, and Julian had stayed up late gaming last night—of course, he was still asleep.

Unfortunately, no one understood what Slowking was saying.

As it pushed open the villa door, Cole stepped forward, trying to enter—only to be blocked by Max.

Cole's hand went to his Pokéball belt.

Max raised an eyebrow. "What? You wanna go at it?"

Cole hesitated for a moment, then slowly withdrew his hand, his tone turning cold.

"Kaide already knows about this. If Julian refuses to apologize or return the Honedge, he'll handle it himself."

At the mention of that name, Max's expression turned slightly serious, but he still didn't back down.

"If Prince Kaide makes a move, Max-kun, there will be no turning back," the Babath girl said softly.

Max was about to respond—but before he could, the villa door swung open.

"Hah… What bullshit 'prince' are you guys talking about?"

Julian yawned, stepping out in a Lucario-themed pajama, his sleepy eyes swept across the gathered crowd.

Julian had been sleeping soundly—until Slowking woke him up, saying that there was a whole group of people waiting outside to chop him up.

At first, he thought Slowking was just messing around, but when he actually stepped outside, he realized—it wasn't a joke.

A group of foreigners, led by Cole, stood at his doorstep, all of them glaring at him, their hostile expressions made it pretty clear what they were here for.

"Oh? You guys brought reinforcements?"

Julian's gaze swept over the group—and he recognized a few faces from yesterday, the only one missing was that royal brat.

The four from yesterday tensed up, even though they had more people today, they didn't dare act rashly. After all, Julian had crushed someone's hand bones with his bare hands yesterday.

That was far too terrifying.

Besides, they were only meters away from him right now, at the level of strength Julian had displayed, that was more than close enough for him to knock them all down in an instant.

Without even thinking, the four of them took a few steps back.

"Heh"

Julian couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle.

The four immediately flushed red, especially when they saw their own companions looking at them with disappointed or mocking expressions, their embarrassment only deepened.

Julian casually stretched, then said:

"I'll give you guys a chance. Tomorrow at 10 AM, Battle Arena No. 1—tell this 'Prince Kaide' of yours to come. If he beats me, I'll apologize and return the Honedge."

"Alright!"

Cole nodded immediately.

"Don't be so quick to agree—I haven't finished yet," Julian smirked.

"If he loses, then he hands over the entire training guide for the Honedge line to me."

Cole's expression changed. Although he believed in Prince Kaide's strength… But what if he lost?

"I'll relay your message to the prince."

Obviously, this wasn't something he could decide on his own, so that's all he could say.

Julian nodded, then turned to his three teammates.

"If you guys haven't had breakfast yet, come in and try Slowking's cooking."
