Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 105 The Compass Origin

Chapter 105 The Compass Origin

"So, how are you here?" Vexthra asked. "I mean, how are you here in the god realm? This shouldn't be possible."

Although the past two days had been the best so far, she had been pondering this question ever since Kent appeared in the god realm. She, a goddess, couldn't comprehend how he had reached the god realm.

As a mortal, he had no business being in the god realm. In fact, ascending to the high world required specific methods available in all worlds.

Naturally, a mortal from a Medium World wouldn't have been able to utilize any of those methods to reach the god realm.

This could only mean that Kent had experienced a fortuitous encounter that allowed him to bypass the laws of her domain.

"I am awesome, right? I mean, I'm the first mortal to come to the god realm, right?" Kent didn't immediately answer; he wanted to revel in his accomplishment first.

"You are indeed the first mortal to enter the god realm—and undetected at that," Vexthra replied with a shrug.

"Now, tell me how you managed to do that. I trust you, Kent, but as a goddess, I need to understand how it was possible for you to infiltrate my realm without my laws stopping you."

Vexthra pressed him again.

Thanks to their god laws, a god was supposed to sense when someone attempted to enter their realm. For Kent to enter her realm without her noticing had left her momentarily concerned.

If her enemies somehow learned of such a method, they could infiltrate her realm without her notice. That would be catastrophic for her.

"No need to panic. I used this to enter your realm." Kent retrieved the Starbound Compass from the tower storage. "It's called the Starbound Compass. It allowed me to trav—"

"W-what did you just say?" Before Kent could finish his sentence, Vexthra interrupted in a shaky voice.

"I said it's the Starbound Compass. Why do you look afraid?" The expression on her face surprised Kent.

The goddess appeared terrified of the compass in his hand. In fact, Kent had to put it away when Vexthra began to sweat.

"Hey—hey, are you alright?" Kent quickly moved to check on her. Everything had happened so fast that he didn't know how to process it.

However, his first priority was making sure she was okay. He hugged her, feeling her shuddering body in his arms.

'Is that thing perhaps against divinity?' Kent wondered.

[I don't think so, Master. However, I believe this is an opportunity for us to get some answers about the compass. The goddess seems to know more about it. Do well to learn something, Master.]

The tower summarized the situation quickly, urging Kent to make the most of this chance. The Compass is a mystery he doesn't have the means to uncover just yet.

It took Vexthra 20 minutes to finally regain her strength and composure.

"Sorry about that. I was just too shocked seeing that thing," Vexthra said with a forced smile.

"Vex, do you know what that thing is? If you know anything, please tell me," Kent urged. As the tower had pointed out, he knew this was his chance to uncover more about the compass and its true potential.

Vexthra didn't answer right away. She looked at Kent, studying his expression and trying to gauge his readiness and willingness to learn about the Starbound Compass.

Indeed, she was doing just that. But she was hesitant, uncertain whether she should say anything at all.

Just as she was deciding, a voice echoed in her mind.

'Tell him.'

That was all it said, but it was enough to make her change her mind.

"Listen to me and listen well, Kent. That compass is something nobody—not even Unity and Lilian—should know about. In fact, if there is a way, I would like to forget about this after today," Vexthra said grimly.

'I will do just that. You have nothing to worry about. I won't allow any harm to come to you,' the voice spoke again.

Vexthra seemed to have calmed down yet again.

"That compass is one of the seven most dangerous things in the universe. In fact, if they were ranking the seven, this compass would be at the third spot.

I know you don't know much about it, and that is for the best. But to tell you what danger you are in, I will first tell you a story. Please remember every single thing."

'Tower, record everything.'

[Way ahead of you, master.]

"Go on, dear," Kent said.

Vexthra sighed. "Long ago, a peculiar race of beings known as the Gxxyla referred to as travellers because they specialise in travelling to distant worlds and realms. They once time chanced upon something that changed their lives since that day.

Before that, you should know the origin of this compass.

When this universe came into existence, it was said that a very dangerous battle occurred—a battle meant to determine whether this universe would live or die. In the end, we won, and it survived.

However, it came at a cost. It was said that during that battle, which took place in the primordial era, 13 beings of great and unfathomable power fought for the survival of this universe.

It was a chaotic battle, but we emerged victorious. Yet, the price was steep. When the battle reached its climax, one of the 13 sacrificed his life to launch a final attack, ending the chaotic battle.

In doing so, his soul shattered into seven pieces. These seven fragments became what we now know as the seven Primordial Chaos Treasures.

But before anyone could claim them, the remaining 12 of his comrades cast a powerful spell to send the seven items to the farthest corners of the universe, hidden from both time and reach.

Somehow, one of these items was found by the Gxxyla—a race of travellers who, back then, would journey vast distances across the cosmos.

After acquiring this compass, their nature transformed. They became a race that could traverse any distance, enter any realm, and remain unstoppable.

Legend has it that they could even infiltrate the Supreme and Celestial realms without being challenged by any force or law.

However, their arrogance led to their downfall. They infiltrated a realm that belonged to creatures of the unknown.

It is said that their reckless actions unknowingly created a rift, connecting this universe to a race whose sole purpose is the destruction of universes—the Helian Race.

Because of this connection, our universe is once again in grave danger. The gateway they opened is said to bring calamity upon us all one day.

However, a prophecy declares that to avert this catastrophe, the seven Primordial Chaos Treasures must be found and assembled.

And thus, for millions of years, people, including gods, have been searching for these seven treasures. Many races went extinct because of these items," Vexthra sighs again.

"This is dangerous because, right now, the Helian Race, which managed to infiltrate this universe before the gateway was sealed, is also searching for it.

Do you know what this means? If the beings of this universe and the Helian Race discover that you possess this compass, one of the seven Primordial Treasures, they will do everything they can to take it from you.

After all, many races in this universe are in cohorts with the Helian Race. This is dangerous, Kent."
