Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 82 Guild Official Tournament

Chapter 82 Guild Official Tournament

People were stunned, not because of Aaron's words about Natasha, but because Aaron bought so many items he spent 380000 RL in one purchase. That left many women in awe.

They wondered how rich and powerful Aaron was that he would dare to buy such items. As far as they knew, other adventurers were more concerned with items that could enhance magic or physical abilities. Still, Aaron wasn't interested in such things.

Knowing that Misa's main talent had to perform Ascension, Aaron invited Misa to go to the city cathedral.

But, Misa politely refused while rubbing her hair. She made it clear that she would not accept Aaron's help.

"You helped me enough with the TP Elixir. I can't accept any of your help," Misa replied.

"Let me handle the Ascension matter. You don't have to worry, Lewis."

"Alright," Aaron said.

Misa was pleased with Aaron's thoughtful attitude. Misa invited Aaron to look at other items that might attract his attention. Yet, the young man shook his head, saying he didn't need any more items.

Bernard was busy serving other customers. Unwilling to disturb him, Misa and Aaron said goodbye. Bernard nodded slowly.

"If you need any items, feel free to visit my place," Bernard explained.

"Sure."

They stepped out with pleased hearts. Aaron had reached level 70 and had an MP capacity beyond 200000. Misa was happy because the TP in her main talent was full, waiting for Ascension to the 2nd stage at Rank A.

Misa took Aaron on a tour of the city's main street; perhaps Aaron had something he wanted when he saw it.

Aaron didn't mind; walking around and looking at the items in the city on the Tenth Floor could be the best choice for killing time.

The two walked through the crowds, many dressed in adventurous suits or casual t-shirts and trousers. Not a few went to the west gate to go on quests.

"Uh, have you heard? The guild's official tournament will be held today."

"Really? I have good luck all the time when the tournament is held. My bets are never wrong."

"I heard that many adventurers have registered for the tournament this time. It will definitely be exciting."

Aaron firmly heard them talking about the tournament and other things. Aaron glanced away as he stopped walking, his head circling around to eavesdrop on the talk of every adventurer close to him.

Misa noticed Aaron's reaction. She also paid attention to the people around her. Misa could distinctly hear that people were talking about the official tournament. The woman had just remembered the tournament.

"Ah, right! Today the guild's official tournament starts," Misa said.

"What is it?"

"A competition for the golden crown. Each adventurer will fight each other in a fair and legal battle. They'll be protected with Reserve HP," Misa replied.

"That said, this official tournament can be a showcase for the three major groups. They didn't deny that this tournament helps them find new members," said Misa, explaining in detail to Aaron.

"Then why didn't you join?" Aaron asked.

"I'm not confident in my abilities."

Aaron asked again about the rewards offered by the guild. Misa explained the rewards varied, ranging from 500000 RL, S grade magic items, S rank talent slips, and floor access privilege slips. Aaron gasped, curious about the item called Floor Access Privilege Slip.

"It's a special slip that allows adventurers to go to cities on floors they don't have access privileges to yet. For example, if your access privileges only reach the 10th floor, then if you use the slip, you can go to the 15th or 20th floor."

'That's good. Maybe I can find an interesting item in the city upstairs,'

Misa explained again that the slip's effectiveness was only valid once. As soon as someone used it, they couldn't use it again. That was why the Floor Access Privilege Slips were rare and difficult to obtain.

Out of curiosity, Aaron asked Misa to take him to where the tournament was. Misa nodded with a smile, the woman happily showing Aaron the way.

They turned at the next intersection, walking with other adventurers who had the same destination, visiting the guild's official tournament.

As the two walked, Misa continued to tell Aaron what the tournament was like and how difficult it was.

"The guild office will open registration three hours before the tournament. Usually, they only allow 100 applicants to join."

"Then, how many applicants normally apply before the Guild selects them?" Aaron asked.

"About 3000 people in the tournament the other day."

'The percentage is relatively small; only 100 applicants are allowed to join. Does the Guild Office have any other judgment on them?'

From afar, Aaron saw a building made of stone, concrete, and cement standing firmly in the city. The circular shape looked like a stadium, but the architecture reminded Aaron of the Colosseum in Rome.

Misa pointed ahead, saying the tournament would be held at that place. People called it the Arena Of Gallant, where adventurers risked their pride to become the best.

Aaron had to admit something; the reality of the tenth-floor city was beyond his expectations. He didn't expect to see such a large and magnificent building in the city's center, which could accommodate thousands of people.

In another place, there were two designated booths to register tournament participants. The queue of participants was long, but it wouldn't take long because of the easy registration system, which only required tapping their system watch to the lightbox of the registration device.

"Do you have any intention of signing up like them?" asked Misa, Aaron shook his head.

"I just came to watch the fight, not to fight."

"Besides, they're no match for my strength."

'I'm curious about his power.'

Unlike the other adventurers, Aaron and Misa stepped inside after paying for the tickets, which were about 1000 RL.

Aaron walked into the venue aisle, stepped up the stairs, and sat in another stand facing the arena.

The arena was circular in shape, with tiles on the floor. He noticed the surrounding area; many adventurers were sitting and watching the tournament action.

"I'm gonna go get some snacks. Do you mind if I leave for a while?" asked Misa, Aaron didn't mind at all.

From afar, Aaron saw a stage with a higher place than the stands. There were five seats up there that would be seated by important people in the city. Aaron nodded a few times; this scene impressed him quite a lot.

'If Isabella and the others are here, maybe they will enjoy watching this tournament,'

Half an hour passed, Misa came carrying some food in a paper bag. She offered it to Aaron, Aaron thanked her while taking one of the potato snacks.

Suddenly, a strong energy fluctuation was felt in the place. Aaron squinted. He felt the energy fluctuations coming from the sky. When he lifted his head, Aaron saw several people flying over using different forms of media.

Some used a sword, a small ship, a dragon, and others. People stood up and applauded, welcoming them.

"Who are they?" Aaron asked.

"They are the rulers of this city, starting from the Guild Leader, the Great Elder, the Night Liberators leader, the Sky Sword leader, and the Dimension Justice leader."

"As I said earlier. This tournament is used as a means of recruiting potential new members."

Aaron got up, looking at them with narrowed eyes, "Yeah. Also, this is the worst place for me to come."
