Chapter 87: Chapter 82: Cut Down Everything (Sixth Update for Monthly Votes)
Xu Mo controlled the mecha as he advanced step by step upward, naturally noticing those VIPs evacuating.
Many firepower concentrated on Xu Mo’s mecha, and shouts filled the arena as everyone charged with Xu Mo towards the direction of the VIPs.
Lei Ting waved his hand, and two more mechas approached Xu Mo, but the viewing gallery aisle could only accommodate one mecha at a time.
One of them took the lead, stepping forward; from above, he leapt down, the huge War Saber slicing towards Xu Mo.
Mecha combat first depends on the strength of the mecha itself.
Constructing a mecha is not cheap. The mecha of the Underground City are all of relatively low level, and moreover, quite uniform, basically all the same model.
In such cases, the outcome of the battle is determined by the control ability over the mecha and combat skills.
The higher the grade of the mecha, the easier it is to control.
Lower-level mechas are comparatively more clumsy.
The mechas controlled by Xu Mo and his team rely more on the pilot’s reaction ability, computational power, and bodily coordination.
All of these are Xu Mo’s advantages.
“Bang.” Xu Mo’s mecha stepped onto the corridor, the ground cracked, and with an energy ejection, he dodged the strike at extreme speed. The moment the opposing mecha landed, the Chopping Blade swept out directly.
It seemed that at the very moment of the opponent’s attack, the motion calculation had already been completed.
The mecha’s movements were fluid and seamless.
“Crack…” A shattering noise echoed as the mecha’s head was smashed by the colossal Energy Battle Blade. Xu Mo’s mecha kicked out, sending the opponent backward, crashing into another mecha behind it.
The mecha behind was staggered by the impact, only managing to brace itself with its arms. In the arena’s corridor, the great mobility of the mecha was rendered useless, appearing even more clumsy.
Xu Mo’s mecha leaped and slashed down, the enemy hastily raised the Energy Battle Blade to block, emitting a sharp hissing noise as its massive body was forced down and the pilot completely lost balance.
Xu Mo raised the Energy Battle Blade, plunging it forwards.
A piercing, ear-splitting noise sounded as the Energy Battle Blade stabbed through the mecha, entering inside.
When he withdrew the Energy Battle Blade, it was stained with fresh blood.
After killing the enemy, Xu Mo continued to move upward, with some people still stubbornly firing at Xu Mo’s mecha.
The mecha’s War Saber swept through, blood splashed.
He did not stop, chasing towards a passage above.
Those ‘big shots’ had evacuated through there.
Amidst the frenzied cheering, the crowd also rushed over, chanting the name of the Armored.
In that moment, the Armored became a ‘hero.’
Xu Mo accelerated forward, rushing into the passage. Many were left behind, cut down by a single stroke.
Propelled by an energy ejection, Xu Mo glided forward at high speed.
None of them would escape.
A mecha charged towards Xu Mo, its speed also incredibly fast, with hardly any space to dodge in the passage.
They met in a narrow path.
“Bang.” The huge Energy Battle Blades collided, sending out sparks, and under the powerful energy exertion, the opposing mecha was forced backward.
Inside the cockpit, the pilot leaned forward desperately, resisting Xu Mo’s impact.
“Hiss…”
A sharp, grating noise rang out as Xu Mo lifted his foot and kicked directly at the opponent mecha’s abdomen.
“Boom!”
With a loud noise, the mecha fell forward, and Xu Mo’s mecha raised the Energy Battle Blade, piercing through the adversary’s mecha before stepping over the corpse.
Xu Mo continued the pursuit, leaving a trail of carnage.
Those still loyal to the Councilmen, now under the blade of someone they saw as an ant, became insignificant, slaughtered.
Xu Mo pursued all the way to the end of the passage.
Along that way, aside from the people he killed, many were civilians cleared by the VIPs during their evacuation, those blocked outside the passage, wiped out by the mecha at the front.
Outside the passage, the ‘big shots’ hurriedly got into their vehicles, with mechas clearing the way in front and two others defending rear.
The City State Guard Captain led two mechas, charging at the forefront, gliding swiftly, everywhere they passed became insignificant.
“Hurry…”
The Councilmen crowded into the vehicles, each chilled by Xu Mo’s relentless pursuit.
So many, yet none could stop him.
A single mecha, unstoppable like an unshakable spear.
When had such a monster ever existed in the Underworld?
Weren’t all the mechas under their control?
Why could Xu Mo control the mecha so proficiently, far surpassing those elite soldiers?
“Hurry, hurry…”
“Block him.”
Some, seeing Xu Mo getting closer, even fell to the ground, scrambling into the car.
Two mechas, with a forced resolve, turned and rushed towards Xu Mo.
They too were intimidated by Xu Mo, somewhat frightened.
That man had been slaughtering since the Arena, from the bottom to the top.
The Star Level contestants of the Arena had been eliminated, the elites upstairs had been decimated, and now even the mechas in his way had fallen.
Who could stop him?
They were truly terrified.
In their eyes, Xu Mo was a monster.
They had never seen anyone so ruthless.
But as Xu Mo had already begun his onslaught, they had no choice but to brace themselves and face him.
They watched as the mechas sped towards them at high velocity, not slowing down as they approached, with the Energy Battle Blade held high, making their hearts pound violently in the control room.
In their eyes, that Energy Battle Blade was akin to the Grim Reaper’s scythe.
“Here it comes…” Their hearts pounded furiously as they estimated the distance and, seeing Xu Mo approach, they controlled their mechas to chop down at Xu Mo’s mech.
Both struck at the same time, blocking off Xu Mo’s path forward.
But just as their Chopping Blades came down, they saw the mecha controlled by Xu Mo bend its knees and then leap into the air, its terrifying speed allowing it to pass right over the descending blades and land before their eyes.
While in the air, the mecha’s massive Energy Battle Blade swung horizontally.
“Crack…”
The heads of two mechas flew off directly as Xu Mo’s body landed and continued to slide forward; these two could no longer run away.
In the Mechanical Control Room, the two of them were stunned. What kind of reaction speed and control was this?
Absolute control over the mecha.
This was also the realm they had always aspired to. Why could Xu Mo do it?
Xu Mo didn’t care about their thoughts and continued to speed forward. The last vehicle had just started when they saw Xu Mo catching up.
“Hurry…” The person inside, along with those who had descended from above, saw Xu Mo approaching through the rear glass and screamed in terror.
But it was already too late.
The Energy Battle Blade swept through the middle of the vehicle, slicing it open; the car’s roof was cut open, and brains flew up.
Xu Mo continued to pursue forward, the speed of his gliding mecha not slower than the car.
The streets of the main city were full of people, and even with the mecha clearing the way, it still affected the speed of the cars.
The crowd frantically moved aside to give way, knowing that not doing so meant death.
On both sides, people watched in horror as the mechas and convoy roared past.
They saw the last mecha catch up to a car, leap directly onto its roof, the metal caving in, and the mecha’s Chopping Blade plunged inside, blood spraying as it was withdrawn.
“Boom.” With one step, the vehicle flipped over, and the energy-light surging mecha continued to rush forward.
Such a scene had a powerful impact, causing the hearts of those watching on the streets to tremble violently.
Who was driving that last mech?
One man, hunting down an entire convoy and three mechas.
The high-ranking officials were fleeing.
This was utterly insane.
The ground shook violently.
One by one, cars were caught, and the Council members and bigwigs inside plunged into madness; the pursuing mecha behind them was like the Grim Reaper.
Once caught, it meant death.
“Bang…”
Another car was smashed in its parking spot by a tremendous force, flipping over. Xu Mo’s mecha landed, its Chopping Blade cleaving the vehicle in half, and continued forward.
Blood stained the streets red, and he looked ahead.
Almost everyone was dead.
The crowds ahead on the road began to thin out; they had been running for a considerable distance.
Lei Ting, along with two mechas, turned around; he was no longer fleeing.
Everybody was dead; there was no point in escaping anymore.
Lei Ting could never have imagined that the big shots from the Underground City would be annihilated by one man and one mecha.
Lei Ting’s mecha raised its Chopping Blade, the three mechas forming a row, watching as Xu Mo’s mecha charged at high speed towards them, ready to chop down at any moment.
“Boom.” A loud noise as Xu Mo’s mecha leapt into the air again.
“Seeking death.” Lei Ting said coldly as he saw Xu Mo’s move. Their Chopping Blades sliced upward, aiming at Xu Mo.
However, they saw Xu Mo’s mecha tuck in its legs midair, the blades cutting through air. Xu Mo didn’t attack.
They looked up, only to see Xu Mo leap over their heads, then swung the blade behind him, seeming to chop at thin air.
But the next moment, Xu Mo’s mecha fell past their bodies, twisting its torso backward mid-drop, the swing of its blade just grazing the heads of the two mechas.
“How is that possible…” Lei Ting looked up to see nothing above him, and terror appeared in his eyes.
How could anyone pilot a mecha to perform such a maneuver—and with such precision?
“Bang.” Xu Mo’s mecha landed, the ground trembled, then it turned to decapitate the last remaining mecha head and stabbed the Chopping Blade inside.
Lei Ting and his companion crawled out only to see the massive blade sweeping over, their heads flying off.
With that, all resistance was annihilated.
Xu Mo turned around and continued the chase.
The Councilman was still alive!
