Hearing this voice, Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan turned around simultaneously.

After seeing the person standing beside them, Luo Ziling appeared quite embarrassed.

It was actually his three roommates, and several other female classmates, one of whom was Lin Lin, whom he had gone out with before.

“Of course she’s not my mom, she’s my girlfriend,” said Luo Ziling, reaching out to put his arm around Ling Ruonan’s shoulder, “Does she look like my mom to you?”

Hearing Luo Ziling say this, Ling Ruonan actually blushed, and though she didn’t struggle free, she allowed Luo Ziling to keep his arm around her shoulder.

Cao Jianhui, Li Fuming, Wu Longjiang, and the other girls had already crowded around, enclosing the two in the middle.

With six or seven students looking at each other and then back at Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan, they all seemed a bit unsure how to react.

Girls really do pay attention to detail. After giving it a serious look for a while, Lin Lin finally whispered, “You two really do look alike. Ziling, is she your sister or perhaps your younger sibling?”

“Mom, you must be pleased,” Luo Ziling said to Ling Ruonan with a laugh, “I said that if we went out together, people would definitely think you were my girlfriend. From the outside, Ling Ruonan looked at most the same age as them. But upon closer inspection, he could see the differences, particularly in her demeanor—far more mature and exuberant with charm, incredibly attractive.

Moreover, Luo Ziling and she did have many similar features, especially the nose and mouth, really the same style.

The other classmates also felt similarly and had difficulty accepting that such a young woman was Luo Ziling’s mother.

But with Luo Ziling calling her that and Ling Ruonan saying so, they had no choice but to believe it.

Cao Jianhui and the rest were planning to go to Wangfujing, then to Tianan Gate Square for a stroll, followed by a meal at Quanjude Peking Duck. They had wanted to invite Luo Ziling, but when they messaged him, he did not reply, so they gave up. They had not expected to bump into him at the subway station.

Cao Jianhui was quite tactful and did not disturb Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan further. While the other guys were still processing the news, he quickly ushered them away. Ling Ruonan felt happy inside but pretended to brush it off, “They were just joking. How can a mom be so young?”

“Alright, let’s drop the modesty. Next, I’ll continue to pretend to be your boyfriend,” Luo Ziling said as he reached for Ling Ruonan’s hand, “There are steps over here, be careful and don’t trip.”

Ling Ruonan’s happiness grew as Luo Ziling was so protective of her, and she did not refuse, taking his arm, “Okay, then today I’ll act like a young lady and pretend to be your girlfriend.”

“I told you, today I’m your Flower Protector,” Luo Ziling stood tall, letting Ling Ruonan cling to his arm, and carried himself like a perfect gentleman. Ling Ruonan smiled happily at Luo Ziling and, holding onto him, they continued forward.

Just as the two were moving forward cheerfully, an unexpected incident occurred.

A fierce voice suddenly came from behind, “Brother-in-law, how dare you go shopping with another woman behind my sister’s back, I won’t let you get away with this!”
