Yu Dong watched the three sisters work in the fields, she did not let them take a break, every time Yu Jianian or her sisters tried to skip work, she would hit them with a stick on the back causing the three sisters to lower their heads and continue working.

They did not dare to go against Yu Dong anymore, in fact, they did not have the guts to do so!

Yu Dong was like a demon. Every time they tried to act smart with her, she would hit them. She even told the villagers who stopped to see what was going on that she was teaching them a lesson as they had wasted their family properties by gambling. "No more, I can't do more," Yu Jianian only worked for two hours before she fell to the ground. It was not that she did not want to work but she really could not pull the weeds anymore. Her hands were filled with cuts and her legs were shaking because she had been crouching on the ground for so long. Her entire body was aching with pain!

She really could not go on anymore!

Yu Rongsa and Yu Binghuan were the same, if they continued to pull the weed then they would end up fainting!

Yu Dong looked at the three sisters who were lying on the ground as if they were dead and was amused. Did they end up falling so soon? Even the sun wasn't up and shining on their heads yet.

The villagers who were working in their fields were also speechless.

"What's going on? Are they young mistresses of some rich family? How come they ended up fainting in just two hours?" One of the villagers could not help but remark. Pulling weeds out was not that tough of a job for a farmer, the fields were their only source of income thus they treated their fields like they were their child.

Pulling weeds out was the simplest thing that they needed to do after sowing the seeds. How difficult was it for these three young women to lose their momentum so quickly?

The villager next to her field let out a peal of laughter and then remarked, "They are not some rich missies, they are the spoiled cousins of Madam Dong. They have lost their family properties because of gambling and Madam Dong has no choice but to teach them how to work in fields."

When the woman heard that they were spoiled women, she could not help but click her tongue in distaste. She was simply speechless. How much did their parents dote on them for them to become this useless?

They couldn't even pull weeds properly!

Yu Jianian and her sisters' faces turned red with embarrassment. They could hear what the other villagers were talking about but had no idea what to say or do.

In the past, they did not think that there was anything wrong with skiving off but now that they were facing the contemptuous gazes of the villagers who were looking at them with disdain, they realised that they were indeed wrong!

However, even if they were in the wrong they could not work anymore. It was simply too tiring!

Yu Dong was amused by their actions. She walked over to where the three sisters were lying and remarked, "You three better get up for me. Don't think that I am your cousin so I will not be rude to you."

"Cousin… just give us an hour no just half an hour break," Yu Jianian was on the verge of crying. If she had known that her life would turn upside down like this just because she had gambled a bit of money, she would have never done it!

"Do you see anyone taking a break?" Yu Dong pointed out as she looked at the villagers who were taking care of the fruit trees in the orchid. "They came earlier than you and are yet to take a break, how can you even think of taking a break? If you want a break then wait till one in the afternoon when everyone goes to take a nap."

When the three sisters heard that they needed to wait till the afternoon to take a break, they were stumped. One? One in the afternoon? Doesn't that mean that they needed to work for four more hours!?

They did not want to!

However, it mattered not to Yu Dong whether they wanted to work or not. She raised the stick and hit them on the bottom.

"Get up and start pulling weeds! If you do not pull the weeds of this field then you can forget about going back home in the evening!" Yu Dong ordered as she looked at the three sisters.

"Sister…how can you be so cruel?" Yu Binghuan covered her buttocks and rubbed them. Just now Yu Dong's hit was so ruthless that she felt her skin peel off even though she was wearing pants.

Yu Dong curled her lips and stated coldly, "Compared to the loan sharks, I am being very generous. With how much money your sister lost, you and your family would have lost your functioning limbs and ruined your lives. I am at least giving you a decent meal and a roof over your heads. Don't try to act smart with me! Go on now!"

Yu Binghuan did not dare to quibble with Yu Dong. She could see that no matter what she said, Yu Dong could turn her white into the black in a few words, she pursed her lips and then started pulling weeds but at the same time, she resented her eldest sister.

Because of her, she had to work in the fields like this, even if Yu Binghuan did not work, she had a sense of propriety and knew what she could do and could not. She would have never made a mess of a situation like this but her sister!
