Chapter 103 A beautiful entry

Within the village, the guards had armor that was over level 50 and their individual levels exceeded 60.

They chatted with each other, and then... they saw something above them.

"Is that a magic beast?" The people looked up to see Seraph circling the skies, and they couldn't help but panic.

"Shoot it down!" one of the soldiers on the tall fence shouted, and the archers got ready to shoot.

*BOOM!*

The gates of the city came down with a loud bang, and the guards turned to see Xander and his group march in as if they owned the place.

"Who are you people?" a man said as he jumped down from the fence.

He unsheathed a golden sword as he stared at Xander with a nonchalant gaze.

"Oh, we're just here for the chief of this village," Xander said, and the soldier frowned at them.

"The likes of you aren't worthy enough to see Lord Carter. Men, chain them up!" the man shouted, and Xander smirked as he saw the other guards jump down towards them from above.

Two short swords appeared in Sandra's hands, and she smiled as she dashed forward towards the soldiers that came for them.

A black sword suddenly appeared in Harry's hand, and he vanished into his own shadow. He appeared beside a guard before he slashed the guard's back.

The archers shot at the trio from the sides, and a red scythe made out of red energy appeared in Xander's hand. He vanished from his position.

Almost like teleportation, he appeared behind the archers, and twenty little portals appeared in the air before red chains shot out of each of them, going for the archers.

"Where did he go?!" The archers were confused as they saw Xander vanish right before them.

Red chains suddenly bound them, and red flames blasted them off the fence.

"Well, they're much weaker than I thought," Xander mumbled.

He noticed a golden light coming towards him, and he bent backward, dodging a vertical slash from a golden sword.

Xander gazed at the leader of the group of soldiers. He was fast!

He landed on the ground and gripped his scythe as he rushed towards the man. The guard reciprocated, sending beams of light, like bullets, towards Xander.

Xander dodged and maneuvered. With his level of speed, the magic attacks couldn't even touch him.

He neared the guard, and the guard gritted his teeth as he waved his sword, which, before Xander's eyes, became a beam of light. Xander struck with his scythe, knocking the guard back.

The guard rushed to Xander with his sword, striking at him as he grunted and shouted. His frustration was growing as the seconds passed.

"Heh, haha, hahahaha!" Xander laughed maniacally as he spun his scythe, which became a wheel of red light, and he knocked the sword out of the man's hand.

He then kicked the guard backward, and he crashed into the wall, causing a crack to appear on it.

The guard bled, and then he could only look at Xander in frustration. The city lord left the fence for him and his men to protect, and then this group of four people just took them all down.

They weren't even killing them, only wounding and making them weak.

Xander then came down from the fence, and Harry and the girls gathered.

"Well, these guys were weak. Let's head to the manor," Xander said, and Hannah looked back and stretched her staff towards them.

A blue light enveloped all the soldiers, and their wounds began to heal. The head of the guards, who had almost passed out, felt all the pain in his body slowly vanishing, and he looked to see the mage healing him.

All the soldiers were healed, and Hannah smiled at them before following behind Xander.

"They... they healed us?" one of the guards managed to speak up.

"W–what should we do, Commander? Should we continue the assault?" the guard asked, and the others stood up and looked at him.

The man gazed at them; most of them had damaged armor, and they looked ruffled up. Plus, these people could easily overpower them, so what was the point of going after them again? Explore stories on empire

"We can only hope for the elite knights to stop them," the man said, and the guards around him sat down on the ground tiredly.

Four guards were in front of a huge castle, clad in black armor. The armor covered their entire bodies, and their gazes within the helmets were stern.

"Hm?" They looked up and saw a large dragon flying towards the manor.

One of them pulled out a black-colored bow with golden embellishments on the body. He pulled it, and instantly, a bright blue arrow was formed from his magic, and he fired at the flying monster.

"I wonder what the guards at the wall are doing?" one of them said as they continued guarding.

Seraph saw the arrow flying towards him, and his body was suddenly wrapped in lightning. He blasted forward towards the manor with even greater speed.

"Huh? It dodged?" one of the knights said, and the others looked up to see a golden flash of light land on the manor.

Seraph roared loudly as it landed on the manor, spreading its wings as it looked down at the humans that dared to challenge it.

"Hah? Foul beast. Today shall be your end." All of them jumped up towards Seraph, the ground beneath their feet cracking.

All of a sudden, red chains surrounded all four of them. They shouted loudly as they were pulled back down to the ground.

Seraph looked at Xander, who arrived with Harry, Sandra, and Hannah, and they walked towards the guards.

"Hm?" Xander watched the guards struggle, and he tightened the chains a bit and smiled.

"We would love to fight for a bit, but we don't have much time," Xander said, and then they entered the manor, opening the large doors of the castle-sized house.
