Chapter 96 Void Piercing Demon Arrow

Chapter 96 Void Piercing Demon Arrow

"I will take this one," Unity said, taking a golden bow from the shelf. It's a Heaven-Grade Bow that adapts to any and all elements.

Kent quickly appraised it.

[Name: Sky Piercing Bow]

[Grade: Heaven]

[Type: Weapon]

[Abilities:]

-- Fires arrows infused with pure elemental energy.

-- All arrows fired ignore 30% defense of any kind.

-- The user can lock onto targets within a 10-mile radius.

-- Draw speed increases with the user's willpower.

"Not bad. Not bad at all," Kent said, checking out the bow. He didn't know much about weapons, but with his appraisal ability, he could learn all about a weapon without even trying.

"How much is this, Madam Fei?" Kent asked the store lady, who was pleased with Unity's choice. After all, it was a Heaven-Grade weapon, one of the most expensive items in her store.

"That will be 1.2 million spirit stones. Also, before you pay for that, I would like you to see something first."

Madam Fei smiled and retrieved a slim, 3-foot-long rectangular box from her space ring. The moment the box came out of her ring, Kent felt an immediate attraction to it.

Of course, he appraised it, but it only showed the details of the ordinary box. This meant he was attracted to the item inside.

"What is it?" Kent asked, showing no sign of attraction to the item in the box. He wouldn't make it obvious for Madam Fei to overcharge him.

Madam Fei opened it and revealed the item inside the rectangular box.

It's an arrow—a bone arrow, to be precise.

But it has fractures inside it, showing it's damaged. However, Kent felt a strong pull toward the arrow for some reason.

This made him raise an eyebrow in a way that suggested the nature of the bow took him aback. He wasn't about to make it evident to Madam Fei that he could tell the true value of the arrow.

"A subordinate brought it back from the Ancient Battlefield of Parting. They said they found it inside a pile of bones belonging to wild monsters.

"I don't really know its true value, but I know things from the Ancient Battlefield of Parting hold great value," Madam Fei explained.

"Ancient Battlefield of Parting?" Kent furrowed his brow. The name sounded interesting, but until he saw it, the Kingdom Building Enchanted book couldn't tell him anything.

Luckily, Madam Fei was in the mood to share.

"The Ancient Battlefield of Parting was said to be a great battlefield many thousands of years ago between the various races of this world. It was said that before the Parting, all races lived in one large world with nothing separating them.

"However, the demons and a few races like the elves, dragons, and Beastkin saw the other races as inferior and tried to suppress them.

This led to a massive battle that lasted for 100 days. It was said that during those 100 days of battle, many powerhouses rose and fell in a carnage of blood and steel.

The battle was so devastating that the world was on the brink of dying. But in the final moments, the gods intervened and divided it into different continents, separating them with borders that were hard to cross.

However, to prevent the continents from being completely cut off from each other—after all, some had banded together to survive—the gods sealed the battlefield and created portals connecting the various continents.

It was said that the gods left their blessing on the battlefield, imbuing it with treasures of great value. Rumor even has it that if you are lucky, you might gain powerful weapons or witness some of the skills used during the battle.

It's a place the brave venture to explore, so you can see why I said anything from that place is of great value."

Madam Fei looked back at Kent, hoping deep in her heart that he would find interest in the damaged arrow.

"Tower, remind me to pay a visit to that place," Kent said to the tower.

[Already looking forward to it, Master,] the tower responded.

"How much do you want for it? Although it's damaged, it will be a great addition to my collection." Kent chose to play the role of a collector.

These beings only buy to add to their collection but never truly use it.

Hearing he knew not much of the arrow, Madam Fei smiled and spoke the price. "I was planning on sending it to an auction, but since you seem to like it, you can add 50,000 spirit stones to the bow."

"Here you go, and please, in case you ever receive more items from this ancient battlefield, reach out to me. I would love to buy and add it to my collection," Kent said, handing over the pouch containing the spirit stones to Madam Fei.

He then put the arrow and bow in his tower storage. He had appraised the arrow, and while he couldn't use it now, that didn't mean he couldn't use it in the future. In fact, if the existence of this arrow is made known to the world, many will flip.

"You can find me at the Divine Palace Sect. By the way, my name is Kent. Kent Madson." Kent flashed a cute smile at Madam Fei before he left with the ladies.

[The master has exceeded my expectations. Your acting skills are top-notch,] the tower commented, seeing how well Kent acted when presented with the arrow.

'What can I say? I have a good grasp on actors. So it's only natural for me to have the aura of an actor.' Kent grinned and turned to the ladies with him.

He retrieved three pouches and handed them to Unity, Lilian, and Saintess Selene.

"Here are a hundred million spirit stones each. You can visit any herb store and buy the herbs and treasures you need for body tempering. We will all start tempering our bodies from now onwards," he said, turning to Li Hua.

"Even little Li Hua here will also start tempering her cute little body," Kent smiled.

"Isn't this too much?" Saintess Selene asked, holding the hundred million in her palm.

"Don't overthink it, Master. You are now my Master, and it's only natural for me to temper your body. And who knows when that body will be put to good use in ways you would never expect.

"You ladies should smile and rejoice. Being in the care of a Handsome, Cute, Extraordinary, and Handsome rich man like me should be a blessing."

Kent laughed and started walking away. He already had things to do, and one of those was the arrow in his possession.

One might not place much value on the arrow at first glance, but as someone who could see the nature of things, Kent knew he had chanced upon a trump card he would use in the coming years.

Who knows? His life might just depend on it.

He kept humming a happy tune as he explored the herb stores, gathering herbs and resources for body tempering and alchemy.

Finally, he could start tempering his body as he and Vexthra had discussed. He would have to start now if he wanted to have a shot at becoming immortal one day.
