Chapter 112 War in Green Zones

Chapter 112 War in Green Zones

Dark Azazel's spear flew into the sky and was swallowed up by a swirl of black clouds similar to storm clouds. Arthur raised his eyes, watching as the center of the black cloud glowed purple with a powerful lightning strike, capable of collapsing the tallest building in the area.

The Night Liberator members tried to take cover from the threat of the ruins that might hit them. Some raised their hands, stretching out protective magic to hold back the ruins.

Darius was still in the sky above the Night Liberators' base, his head looking up and witnessing a great power he never expected. The power was even stronger than his own, making a slight feeling of fear rise in Darius' heart.

"Do you want those two women? Then you'll get them!" said Darius, not wanting to take any risks.

He looked behind him, ordering two members to bring Sara and Karen from the basement prison. The members understood Darius' order and went to take the two women.

Stacy was still standing on her flying blue sword, curious about Arthur's decision if Darius had returned the two women. Would he still attack the Night Liberators or not? Would he help Stacy defeat Darius or not?

'What are you gonna do next, Arthur?' asked Stacy, continuing to fix her attention on the man.

Not long after, a member of the Night Liberators arrived with Sara and Karen. Both women were bound by black chains to their hands and feet. They looked up and were shocked to find Arthur in a strange —if not gruesome— appearance.

"Arthur?" asked Sara.

Arthur nodded. Seeing Sara and Karen were fine, despite their shabby and dusty clothes. The young man summoned his three servants; three white lights flew up and stood directly before Arthur, floating freely without constraints in the sky.

[Servant Activated]

[1. Jack the Ripper]

[2. Gregori Rasputin]

[3. Genghis Khan]

[MP -49000]

[Name: Aaron]

[MP: 180500/242000] [-49000]

"Your orders, Master?" asked Jack.

"Jack, go and take Sara away," Arthur replied.

Rasputin was ordered to take Karen, while Khan was tasked with Mona. Now, one servant was holding one person; it was time for Arthur to end it all.

Darius flew up until he was right before Arthur. Arthur was still standing firmly on the sky floor while his three servants were protecting the person they were assigned to. Both Darius and Arthur's eyes looked at each other intensely, full of intimidation.

"I have returned them to you. Now, I hope you won't prolong the matter any further, sir," Darius replied, aware that if he went to war with Arthur, the events of the massacre at the former Sky Sword base would befall the place.

Arthur glanced back slowly, Sara responding with a nod, as did Karen and Mona. The three didn't want Arthur to get into more trouble with other groups; they had to immediately focus on the raid opening in a couple of days.

Stacy was different. She wants Arthur to continue attacking and defeating Darius with his terrifying powers.

By doing so, Darius and the Night Liberators would be weakened, and it would be easy for her to defeat them.

The 11th-floor Sky Sword's leader woman flew over to Arthur. Her coming near Arthur was solely to trigger the young man, saying nonsense like revenge and pride.

"If you and the others are from the 13th squad, you should understand what happened at the Sky Sword base on this floor," Stacy replied.

Arthur raised his left hand, then firmly grasped Dark Azazel's spear. Powerful energy fluctuations emanated from Arthur's grip, alerting Darius and the rest of the Night Liberators.

The young man swung his spear from right to left, sending a large purple-black scythe strike aimed downward. Darius turned his head toward his base, clicked his tongue in annoyance and flew to block the force of the scythe attack.

BOM!

The explosion occurred just before the scythe hit the ground of the Night Liberator's base. Darius was injured quite severely from holding back Dark Azazel's power alone. Several members immediately took Darius away for treatment.

"I'm warning you! Don't ever bother us again!" threatened Arthur, his voice echoing through the place.

Arthur took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. The Dark Azazel spear that originally appeared in his left hand began to disappear, and the black armor faded away like particles of light evaporating into the sky.

What surprised him was his left palm. Arthur opened the magic glove and saw his palm was blackened from just the fingertips of his left hand, now spreading to his entire palm.

It was enough to prove that Dark Azazel's power was trying to take over his body, starting from Arthur's left side. Sara saw Arthur's left palm and flew over to find out the cause of Arthur's blackened palm.

The young man smiled, saying Sara didn't need to think about his hand condition. He turned to the side, looking at Stacy, who had underestimated Arthur's strength.

"Darius is hurt; you can attack them now!" Arthur said, turning around.

"Where are you leaving?" asked Stacy.

"To find shelter. My problems are over; now they're yours."

Arthur and his three servants flew away. Stacy initially wanted to stop Arthur while pleading for the young man to help her, but some of his members were already attacking the Night Liberators from the sky. Continue reading on empire

That made Stacy's situation unfavorable. The woman thought she would be fighting alongside Arthur against the Night Liberators. But, what she expected was completely wrong.

"What are we gonna do? We can't win against them all!" said one of Stacy's members.

Regretfully, Stacy turned a gruff and resentful face as she ordered all her members to return. Her plan to defeat Darius and the Night Liberators had failed.

Arthur continued to fly elsewhere from the Night Liberators' base location. Sara brought up her map, trying to find a location to avoid their threats; the green zone farthest from their base was the best option.

Arthur nodded. He let Sara fly ahead to guide them. In the green zone, there were two bases of two different groups. Sara didn't know whether the Night Liberators had defeated the groups.

After flying across one hill, Arthur gasped at the sight of the green zone area. The two groups living in the area seemed to be conducting a devastating war, great magic was used with powerful talents filling the course of the battle.

"War of the groups."

"What exactly are they fighting over? This land is not as fertile as the land on the tenth floor; why do they like to fight so much?!" Arthur complained.

"What should we do, Arthur?" asked Karen, curious.

Arthur shook his head. He was sick enough of the war. He looked ahead and saw dozens of dead people from both sides of the war.

"We'll ask them for protection," Arthur replied.

"Protection?"

The young man pointed to the camp of the group with the blue flag with the windmill symbol, which was being pushed back; many of its members had been killed. Arthur had another reason for choosing the group over his enemy.

"They are pressured by defeat. Negotiating with a party on the verge of defeat will be a piece of cake."
