[Countdown for Closed Gate:]

The system panel appeared after Arthur and the other members of the 13th squad entered. They continued to walk with a watchful eye on each other, following the direction of the 21st and 7th squads that had gone first.

Elsewhere, Arthur could faintly hear several teams having their first battle. The monsters roaming this maze were in levels 63-65, but the floor boss level was probably in the range of levels 67 or 68.

Arthur walked beside Sara in a high-alert stance. He occasionally glanced at the surrounding area, confirming that no monsters were coming to attack them.

Sara, who was joining the monster raid for the first time, looked nervous as she kept twitching her fingers.

"This raid will be the same as on the previous floor. Therefore, you don't have to worry about it," Arthur explained.

"I know. Still, my team composition is different, and the difficulty of the floor has increased."

They turned right at the first intersection, seeing the 21st squad and 7th squad fighting two medium-sized worm monsters, their sharp teeth giving off a terrifying impression, with the foul smell from their mouths spilling over the place.

"W-What monster is that?" asked Hana, trembling with fear.

Not only her but Morgan and Mona were the same as well. But, in contrast to Nolan and Karen, who were calm, so were Sara and Arthur.

The 21st and 7th squads began to divide their attacks, one squad attacking one monster.

"Let us show you our gap in strength!" insulted a member of the 21st squad, confident of defeating the monster.

Arthur smiled. He stood casually in silence with his arms folded over his chest, watching the battle between the two squads against the two worm monsters. Sara glanced shortly at Arthur, a high confidence in her eyes.

'If he can defeat Bright, then those two worm monsters don't seem to be any threat to Arthur,' Sara said.

The two squads unleashed their attacks on each other. The various talents Arthur had seen exposed could reduce the four HP bars of the two worm monsters.

Slowly but surely, the 21st and 7th Squads defeated the monsters without seriously injuring their members.

"Did you see? We can defeat it without crying or getting severely injured. You guys won't be able to do it!" scolded a member of the 7th squad, still insulting the entire 13th squad.

Sara felt annoyed; the two squads' hatred and resentment towards her squad had gone too far. The woman wanted to hit the arrogant man from the 7th squad, but Arthur prevented her while shaking his head.

"Let them talk all they want. After all, those monsters are easy opponents," Arthur replied.

"Alright."

Seeing Sara more obedient to Arthur's words made Karen, the second strongest member after Sara, wince.

She stared at Arthur's back, wondering why Sara obeyed Arthur's words more often? Even though that woman was the captain of the 13th squad.

The journey continued. The three squads from Sky Sword accidentally crossed paths with another team, injured and retreating after failing to defeat the monster out in front of them.

Hana and Mona stepped up to them, offering healing abilities to restore the other team's condition. The team captain explained three powerful monsters ahead before the third intersection.

"There are three large fire elemental Gnolls ahead. Be careful, all of you."

That was all he said. Still, the confidence of the 21st and 7th squads made them rush to the monster's place.

The 13th squad was still near the other group teams; Mona and Hana had not finished recovering their condition.

"Do we need to go out there after the 21st and 7th squad?" asked Morgan, Sara shook her head.

"We'll catch up with them after Hana and Mona finish recovering them. Let them deal with those three fire gnolls," said Sara.

Arthur agreed with Sara's words. The main task of the 13th squad was to defeat the floor boss, while the task of the two squads was to clear the route to the floor boss's room from the maze monsters. There was no duty for the 13th squad to help them.

"AAAKKH!" a man shouted.

Sara and the others heard the scream. The woman asked the 13th squad members to rush to help them, but Arthur held Sara back with his hand. That was both surprising and suspicious to Karen.

"Just leave them alone."

"But they could die if we don't come to help," Sara replied.

"Who the fuck are you? You're a new member, but you keep telling Sara what to do!" snapped Karen, pulling her sword and pointing it at Arthur.

Arthur squinted, feeling the blade of Karen's sword on his neck. With a sideways hand gesture, Arthur conjured up purple magic and instantly shattered Karen's sword blade into dust; Karen was startled.

"Don't ever threaten me if you want to stay alive!" said Arthur, warning Karen.

"M-My sword?" Karen was shocked.

Realizing Arthur was no random man, all members of the 13th squad finally obeyed what Arthur said. Sara was completely helpless, her role was indeed the captain of the squad, but she was held hostage by her new members.

After recovering the other group's team, Sara invited them all to the two-squad battle location. There, Sara and the others couldn't hide their surprise. A fire Gnoll monster was being fought by the remaining members of the 21st and 7th squad.

What shocked them was that 7 people were critically injured from the two squads. Some were burned, their legs and hands were cut off, and their stomachs were pierced and perforated. All seven were on the brink of death.

"Where have you been, you piece of shit?! They need to be treated!" shouted the captain of the 7th squad.

Mona and Hana went to treat them, while Sara, Morgan, and Nolan went to the front to help defeat the fire Gnoll monster. Karen was still near Arthur. Her sword had been shattered, and she couldn't help them.

"You're not gonna help them?" Karen asked.

"My power is too precious to defeat a weak monster like a fire Gnoll."

In the end, the fire Gnoll died and turned to dust. Eros, the captain of the 7th squad, suddenly slapped Sara hard across the face due to the impact of the resentment in his heart. It was quite a shock to many people, including Arthur.

With a flash move forward, Arthur arrived before Eros with his right hand choking the man's neck firmly. Experience more content on empire

Arthur activated his secondary talent, lifting Eros to the maze ceiling with a hateful stare.

"Shame on you! It's your job to clear the route from monsters. Are you planning to blame Sara for your failure?!" Arthur snapped.

"If you guys had come sooner, the injured from our squad would have-"

Arthur squeezed Eros' neck with the help of his magic power. It caused his neck to crumble and his head separated from his body, shocking everyone.

"Y-You killed Eros?" asked Sara, gawking in disbelief.

Arthur paid no attention to Sara's words. He looked back and stared at Leonil, the captain of the 21st squad. Leonil was frightened, his face pale when he found out Arthur was extremely powerful.

"Listen to me."

"It's your duty to clear the route to the floor boss room from the monster threat!"

"If you can't, then I'll kill you and take over this duty."
