Chapter 98 Leonil's Recognition of Arthur's Power

Having no other choice, Leonil and the rest of the 21st squad agreed to Arthur's request. Needing to pass through two more intersections for them to arrive outside the floor boss room, Leonil just hoped he didn't encounter any monsters.

If he did, he would truly be done without anyone's help. Eros was dead, and the members of the 7th squad weren't as strong as Eros. He also couldn't expect any help from the 13th squad due to Arthur's attitude.

Leonil ordered the remaining members of the 7th squad to bring 7 severely injured people out of the maze.

Four people from the 21st squad were required to guard the 13th squad until they arrived at the front of the floor boss room.

Arthur came down from the maze ceiling, deactivating his secondary talent. Sara stepped closer, then smiled as she noticed the title murderer Arthur had regained. Arthur's act of killing Eros was his stance to protect Sara's dignity.

"Thank you, Arthur."

"Just focus on our duties, don't act naive, Sara. They've underestimated us; why would we help them?"

"I understand."

The young man glanced behind Sara, seeing Mona and the others still bearing shocked expressions at Arthur's ability. Karen was the same. The woman couldn't help yet because her sword was broken.

"After the raid, we'll find a sword for you, Karen."

"Whatever you say, Arthur."

The 21st and 13th squads walked on towards the boss room area of the floor, unlike the remaining members of the 7th squad. They carried the injured members out of the maze.

The deeper they went, the more Arthur felt the foul energy fluctuations in front of him. There was no mistaking it. Several monsters were waiting for the other adventurers to approach them.

He turned to the side, seeing Leonil's anxious and scared face. Occasionally, Leonil glanced back quickly, his eyes briefly exchanging glances with Arthur.

'I hope there's no more monsters! I hope there's no more monsters!' Leonil said, desperately hoping.

Unfortunately, a fire gnoll reappeared in front of their faces, the same size as before. Still, Leonil struggled to fight such a monster, especially since his strength had been drained.

Leonil clenched his fists tightly, sensing the hateful words in Arthur's words. Yet, what he said was completely true. Leonil was the captain of the 21st squad; he had to be strong, as people knew him to be.

Four people from the 21st squad began to surround the red Gnoll monster and unleashed their attacks, including Leonil.

From their four attacks, the damage dealt was around 34000, not even half of the monster's total HP.

Arthur squinted. A purple magic shield was created, the fire Gnolls released a blaze boomerang axe forward, targeting members of the 21st and 13th squads.

But, with the powerful shield of Arthur's magic, the flame boomerang axe bounced away and failed to destroy it. Unlike the four members of the 21st squad who struggled to avoid the flame gnoll's attack.

"AKH!"

A man failed to dodge. The axe blade split his body right at the waist, making his body cut into two pieces. Mona and Hana were sickened by the scene, while Sara was worried.

"Please save him, Arthur," Sara pleaded, Arthur shook his head.

"His body is split in two; there's nothing to do other than wait for him to die."

"HAHA!"

"I like you, dude. You're truly unique," Morgan greeted, finding Arthur's non-naive attitude admirable.

"That's not bad as a new member. You might be able to get Sara to notice her naivety," chimed in Karen, beginning to slowly recognize Arthur's abilities.

Leonil looked busy protecting himself, then turned to the side and found the Flame Gnoll cornering two of his members.

Leonil bit his lower lip, then stepped closer to Arthur while bowing his head to the ground.

"I'm really weak. I can't beat it. Please, save our lives, Arthur."

"Pathetic!"

"Khan, come out!" said Arthur, finally taking over Leonil and the 21st squad's duties.

The flame boomerang axe whizzed from the Gnoll's grasp towards Arthur and Leonil. Leonil was pale-faced, thinking he was about to die a horrible death. However, a flash of white light suddenly appeared before them.

The white light transformed into the figure of a man dressed in a Mongol dynasty war suit. Genghis Khan emerged and grasped the flame boomerang axe with his right hand, a powerful grip.

Sara smiled; she could see Arthur's soul servant again. However, the other members showed different expressions.

Mona gasped and remembered about the strangely dressed man, while Hana and the others were stunned with gaping mouths.

"Come inside and don't talk, goddamn it!" snapped Arthur, pulling Leonil into his shield.

Genghis Khan threw back his flame boomerang axe, then smiled as he glanced back to stare at his master.

"You want me to defeat that weakling? Are you not ashamed, Master?" asked Genghis Khan, pointing forward with his curved sword.

"I don't want to use my power. Do it fast, Khan."

"Very well. It will be over before you blink an eye!"

Genghis Khan brought out two swords and a burly horse. He immediately mounted the horse and sped away.

Genghis Khan's ride was followed by a strong gust of wind. Arthur nodded as he felt his strength increase.

Without using his SS-R talent, Genghis Khan landed an attack of stabs and slashes of his curved sword on the fire Gnoll.

A damage panel popped up before Arthur, indicating that Genghis Khan's attack was successful.
