Chapter 93 Barging into the castle (2)

As the loud roar echoed all around the kingdom the smoke fog suddenly cleared out and the men who chased Seraph immediately dropped their weapons and tools as they trembled in fear.

Xander was standing underneath a large lizard-like creature with four horns. It's teeth looked extremely sharp like large nails and it's wings were now large, enough to cover five shops without stretching it too much.

Seraph now stood twenty feet tall. It's wide eyes now a slit which stirred up fear as it gazed at the humans in front of it.

Xander turned around and felt excited for some reason.

"Let's just focus on the task at hand." Xander said and gestured for the dragon to bend to his level and it did.

Seraph took off with a flap that blew a lot of things away as soon as Xander got on top, going directly towards the castle that was still a little bit far away.

*Growl!*

"It's nothing. My friends are in there. Or they might be." Xander said as he rubbed Seraph's smooth obsidian scales.

*Ding!*

Xander was kind of confused on what it all meant so he just simply tapped on the button and a new screen appeared in front of him.

"Wow." Xander could only say as he saw Seraph's list of skills.

The castle was a haven for the imperial knights, people specially trained to defend the king first, and then the kingdom.

It was paradise for the knights. Beautiful maids, a four square meal and a very nice bed. But there was a downside; the training routine.

The imperial knights training schedule was extremely arduous and hard on the body. Many already wished that they weren't chosen as imperial knights.

The imperial knights were currently in the extremely wide courtyard practicing their swordsmanship when a particular person noticed a figure Descending from above.

"A falling star!!!"

Hearing the sudden outburst the rest were immediately distracted and as they took their gaze up they saw something with wings falling down and they all cleared way.

Seraph landed with a loud banging sound, shattering the smooth tiles of the castle yards. It's long silver claws digging into the stone beneath his feet like hot knife through butter.

Xander jumped down and just silently walked forward towards the knights that were staring at him while murmuring.

"Are you seeing this? A large flying lizard-beast."

"What is that?"

"Someome should call the general."

Some that were already in armour walked in front of the ones that were training in only orange uniform.

They all brandished their weapons and shields as they took ready for battle and circled Xander, making him confused.

Seraph walked towards him while growling but he just turned around and patted Seraph on the head, making the scary looking dragon close it's eyes as it enjoyed the petting it got.

Xander then turned back to the knights with an angry expression and gazed at all of them before speaking.

"Where is the king?"

No reply came and the ones that weren't wearing armour all cleared a path and a person came though.

It was General Dreg. He walked towards Xander with furrowed brows and then he looked at Seraph before pulling his sword.

"I don't care about the reason you barged into the castle. Breaking in is forbidden and is punishable by death!!" Genral Dreg's voice was loud and stern with no hesitation in them.

He drew his sword which also turned out to be golden in colour. It had many carvings on it like runes which glowed as the sword touched the sun.

General Dreg then pointed to Xander and just said a few worlds, "Kill him."

"NYAAA...!" The knights charged towards him and some in the background began launching spells at him.

Ice spikes, fire balls, fire chains, lightning strikes, nothing was excluded.

Xander didn't even move and Seraph used it's wings to cover Xander and in that moment it's body began to spark. Golden lightning trailed from its body and a pulse explosion went off the next moment.

An invisible force pushed many of the knights away, lifting them off of the ground and tossing them in every direction.

Those that were quick used shields and bent down behind it but they still got pushed back a bit.

General Dreg along with two other soldiers stood there, the explosion not having any effect on them.

"Should we?"

The ones beside general Dreg looked a little special as they had golden weapons just like him.

"Hm." Genral Dreg nodded and the two knight dashed at the dragon with their weapons brandished, leaving a small cloud of dust behind them.

Seraph opened its wings and as it looked forward it immediately saw two people coming towards him and he roared at them but Xander just walked forward.

He equipped his spear and as the two soldiers came close and slashed down at him with their weapons he raised his spear to block both of them simultaneously.

'He's strong.' One of them thought as they noticed that Xander didn't seem to struggle at all.

Red chains came from nowhere, wrapped both of them and binded them before tossing them, letting them relax in a corner.

They were confused and they tried to get out of the chains but to no avail, they couldn't. It was too strong!

"Look! I don't want any blood shed. Just show me to where your king is and I'll just ask some questions and leave." Xander said again but it looked as if General Dreg didn't hear him as the knight stretched and slashed his weapon around for just testing.

Dreg dashed towards him, reaching him in a second and Xander brandished his spear as he parried the blade coming for his neck vertically.

The General was able to meet up with Xander's speed as the two of them clashed weapons more than a hundred times in a minute.

General Dreg was going at it fast and precise. He used a fury of slashes and pierces in a constructive order, making it harder for Xander to figure out his attack pattern.
