Chapter 94 King Egrid

Xander looked at the general in amazement.

"Hehe. Let's see if you can take my full strength." Xander mumbled and then he jumped backwards.

He stretched forth his hand with a smile and a stream of red flames bursted forth to devour the humans in front of him.

The Magus were quick to act, conjuring shields to defend both the general and themselves.

"What?!"

A mage shouted as they saw the shield cracking under the immense heat of the crimson flames.

"What the hell is going on?"

"This is a very high level defence–"

"YET ITS CRACKING!!"

"Don't steal my words!"

"Hehe. Sorry."

"Are you guys insane?! We're about to be obliterated and you're talki– just support the shield!"

""Right!"" Both of them shouted before adding more Mana into the shield, making the cracks fade but very slowly.

...

"Huh. No retaliation. Are they already dead?" Xander raised a brow and withdrew his hand, stopping the flames in an instant.

As the flames vanished into thin air Xander saw a blue, transparent shield which was full of cracks in front of the general who was sweating profusely.

The ground in front of him was charred black and all the leafs and ornaments around were on flames.

"You actually survived. But you are too weak to stop me." Xander said, making the general furrow his brows.

His used up a lot of Mana to support the shield and now he was very weak.

"Tell me, is it worth it?" Xander asked as lightning struck Seraph again and he returned back to his little, cute form.

Seraph jumped on Xander's shoulder and he smiled while brushing Seraph's scales. Xander then began to walk forward.

"Is it worth it? Dieing to protect this place. All for what? A person that just wants to ask the king a simple question. You would really die for that?"

General Dreg's expression didn't change as he watched Xander come closer.

While he wasn't contemplating on it the rest of the knights were really considering what he said.

"He just wanted to ask a question?"

"W–Why didn't we just ask him what he wanted?"

"I have a family!"

"I have wives!! I can't die!!"

"Really?! Argh!! I'm still a virgin!!"

"Let him go in!"

Xander, was hearing every single comment made and smiled and just walked towards general Dreg who was still looking at him angrily.

"Would you?"

As Xander said that general Dreg just said, "We have a mission, we fulfil it!"

General Dreg raised his hand, swinging his sword upwards. In second the sword was already close to Xander's neck.

Xander didn't have any defence for now and moved closer to the general, shortening their distance and using his shoulder to hit general Dreg backwards.

As the general tried to regain his balance he was suddenly wrapped by glowing red chains and he fell back to the floor.

He gritted his teeth as he rolled over to look at Xander who walked past him calmly while Seraph just growled at him.

As Xander reached in front of the other knights they cleared a path for him to walk through.

He nodded at them and then someome said, "The king is on the second room on the highest floor."

Xander didn't turn around to see who said it but he just went into the castle.

Making his way up the stairs he couldn't focus on any other thing like how beautiful the palace interior was, or the maids that all fell to the floor once they saw him.

"Who is he?"

"Have you ever seen him before?"

"He looks like a prince."

"I love him."

"Argh. You have no shame... you should think about having his child.."

All the maids began to gossip while Xander just walked away in silence.

'I wonder what's wrong with them.' He thought.

He strode up the stairs until he got to the highest floor.

He immediately made his way to the second room and before he entered he heard the sound of multiple people within the room.

He kicked the door open and a loud bang resounded in the hall ways all the way down the stairs.

"What the? Who the fuck are you?"

Xander was speechless as he entered into the room to see a naked grown, chubby man with long hair and mustache about to get on top of a girl that looks like she's fifteen who was strapped to the bed while being naked.

"Who the fuck are you?! WHERE ARE MY GUARDS!!"

No reply came and the man got out of the bed and walked towards Xander but then he saw the spear in Xander's hand and he stopped.

Xander's eyes was glued to the little girl who had tears running down her eyes. Her body was riddled with red, swollen marks and he even saw a whip beside the bed.

What kind of man was this?

"My knights would be here anytime soon so if you know what is good for you, you better get out of here!" The king shouted but Xander's eyes suddenly began to glow and a visible red flame began to cover his entire body.

General Dreg began doubting his decision. He never had a home, he was an orphan, trained for battle within the walls of the castle for the specific purpose of serving the king.

But what Xander said reached his heart.

Just as the others were busy chatting a loud explosion boomed at the west side of the castle and the knights all ran there after a few seconds of taking it in.

"Hey! Carry me there!" General Dreg shouted and a few knights lifted him up and began to hop there.

"Hey, what about us?" The two high level knights, the paladins, that were chained earlier before General Dreg said and a few knights smiled bitterly before going over to carry them.

If they were to ignore then if paladins get released they would face the consequences.

Reaching the west side of the castle they looked up to see a hole in the walls from the highest floor. The wall surrounding the hole was charred black and the fallen debris was black too, along with a smoking body.

"That's where the king's room was."

"What is that thing that smells like meat?"

"It looks human."

"Look! It's the guy!!"

All the knights looked up to see Xander in the dragon scale with a child in his arms who he wrapped a small fabric around and now it looked like a short gown without a hand and extremely short.

Xander wasn't fully covered in the dragon scale and just from his elbows then going to his back where the wings were.

He jumped down and dived in circles, coming down slowly with his wings stretched out.

All of a sudden the chains holding the paladins and the general suddenly pulled them towards him and he asked while looking at the girl in his arms who was still awake but not saying anything, "Did you guys know about this?"

His voice was sharp and filled with rage.
